Conor Talty is a Finalist for Chris Sailer Kicking Award, but I think Conor is the underdog. Because St. Rita had a very good OL and DJ Stewart as a running back, Conor did not have the opportunity for a lot of long distance field goals. Conor's 51 yarder in the opening game was his long for the year. I just watched the YouTube video of it and that field goal cleared the cross bar above the uprights and could have been easily 60 yards. I've read somewhere the Coach Kuska and special teams coach JJ Strandring have had more than a dozen kicker/punters play division 1 college ball. Conor would have played in the All-American game but he committed to the Polynesian Bowl months ago and the rules are that you can play in one game.
