I've been thinking about this for a while. I'm sure many of you have been as well.
How do we salvage a high school football season during these uncertain times?
Time is running out.
Ahh, there's the word-time. How could we buy a little time and still make this work?
Here are a few thoughts.
1. School starts September 1st. Sports can begin on that day. (that gives us a little more time to see where this thing is headed)
2. Week 1 games commence on the weekend of Sept. 18-19.
3. All teams play a 5 game schedule.(probably made up of conference rivals)
4. All participating teams qualify for the playoffs. (provided things don't get shut down before then)
5. As I am writing this I see ESPN is reporting Oakley has developed a mouth shield for the NFL players to use. Could this be ready for h.s. use by September?
