i started my senior year of high school needing exactly one credit to graduate...state required Civics & Economics. If what these kids are going through had happened spring my junior year, heaven knows that I would have taken the appropriate course at KCC that summer and skipped my senior year, graduated a year early and been a 16 year old startin college. Surely my junior hoops season (0 points, 0 rebounds) was not going to bring me college athletic glory. However, I wanted to be big man on campus, three sport athlete & valedictorian, homecoming, prom, the whole bit. That was the point of my senior year...and these kids have absolutely had too much of it already taken away.
