Given that both teams of topic have to win their Semi-final games to get there, I think the poster posed this as strictly a hypothetical. I don’t think that he was negating their opponents this weekend.ESL already beat Lemont?
ESL already beat Lemont?i said if the matchup happens…but if you really wanted to know estl will more then likely win that game by 3 possessions
CG and PR offenses are very similar. Difference is CG had a 220 lb fullback that ran people over and PR has a 170 lb QB with speed and shiftiness. ESL has lots of speed too. Apples and oranges. Now let’s get through the semis to see who plays who.IF both teams win then the real questions should be Has ESL learned how to defend the offense that beat them last year? If not I feel he will fair about as well as the CG horses faired.
Yes. Yes they have.ESL already beat Lemont?
Perhaps. Better hope the team bus GPS works and they don’t get lost in McHenry County LOL.Prairie Ridge has not played one team all year that made it out the first round of the playoffs.
St. Ignatius will score 40 or more this week against a week defense and they see the same offense all week at practice.
St. Ignatius 42 Prairie Ridge 27
Kenwood is decent but Lemont slept walk thru that win last week.Going to have to do much better this week. Now their D was spot on but Flyers are a different animalESL already beat Lemont?
If you insist on using past years as a metric, you do realize that ESL played Prairie Ridge in 2019 don’t you? But in reality, none of that matters THIS YEAR.IF both teams win then the real questions should be Has ESL learned how to defend the offense that beat them last year? If not I feel he will fair about as well as the CG horses faired.
And Iggy has played, one team. And they lost. Will have no bearing on the outcome Saturday. If I were you and your Iggy ilk I’d spend more time trying to figure out how to slow down that QB.Prairie Ridge has not played one team all year that made it out the first round of the playoffs.

CG also had a 6'3 200lb QB that could throw and run to go along with the 220 lbs fullback. Not sure why people are so quick to minimize how good and diverse CG offense was last year. All in all, the onside kick was the winner. As someone mentioned before, last year was last year.CG and PR offenses are very similar. Difference is CG had a 220 lb fullback that ran people over and PR has a 170 lb QB with speed and shiftiness. ESL has lots of speed too. Apples and oranges. Yes game was over as soon as it was scheduled.ESL already beat Lemont?
Classy.Yes game was over as soon as it was scheduled.
I’m still laughing at “you and your Iggy ilk”.And Iggy has played, one team. And they lost. Will have no bearing on the outcome Saturday. If I were you and your Iggy ilk I’d spend more time trying to figure out how to slow down that QB.
I don't think 1390 or any Iggy fans have to do any figuring out how to slow down anyone. I doubt the anyone on the Ignatius team or coaching staff is doing anything EXCEPT figuring that out.And Iggy has played, one team. And they lost. Will have no bearing on the outcome Saturday. Very true. It never ceases to amaze how some people equate posts on a message board to the mindset or preparation of the actual participants of the game.I don't think 1390 or any Iggy fans have to do any figuring out how to slow down anyone. I doubt the anyone on the Ignatius team or coaching staff is doing anything EXCEPT figuring that out.
“Iggy Ilk” would make some great t-shirts.I’m still laughing at “you and your Iggy ilk”.
How dare you imply someone would take care of their field as they see fit but possibly presenting a schematic advantage. How. DARE. YOU!With 5 inches of snow coming does PR shovel off the field and hope it dries in time so Vasey can use his speed? Or let the grass go to a slop fest and take their chances in the trenches?
Your Honor, please strike that from the record. How dare you imply someone would take care of their field as they see fit but possibly presenting a schematic advantage. How. DARE. YOU!
Funny, I think I heard something like this before the 6A championship game last year.Yes game was over as soon as it was scheduled.
Very funny, indeed…..Funny, I think I heard something like this before the 6A championship game last year.
Didnt the teams that PR played in the second round and quarterfinals both make it out of the first round of the playoffs?Prairie Ridge has not played one team all year that made it out the first round of the playoffs.

It just doesn’t happen and to suggest any funny business is being a weather denier and that’s a step above an election denier so chances are the feds are at his door as we speak. Lord knows I’m still fighting legal battles for suggesting the same in regards to the unanimously board decided 2022 5A Champs Sycamore. How dare you imply someone would take care of their field as they see fit but possibly presenting a schematic advantage. How. DARE. YOU!
