One would think that LT will be the team in the cross hairs this year. That stud QB might have been dissed by WI, but those that have seen him play know he is the real deal. He threw some solid balls in taking down GW last year. They had some enormous OL and DL coming back, so I would imagine the GW/LT game at LT will be a huge game in deciding the title.

GW will have a much more dynamic offense when they face LT than they had last year. Last year GW was struggling to find their rhythm and relying heavily on the single back trying to recreate Sammy the Bull with less success. When the featured back went down against LT, GW looked shocked and a bit lost. Post injury, GW found enormous assets at FB Dre Thomas, HB, Ryan Diver and WR Alec Pierce. GW replaces an adequate QB with one that has more dimension (Alex Hollensbe, imho the better of the two choices last year) that will be able to move the pocket better and get crucial yards if defenses overplay the jet sweep. Remains to be seen whether the QB/WR combo will be as effective as it became after the LT game last year. Return of OC Sigmund will best be seen in the oline play. Sig is a master at building all-state quality olinemen out of 175 pound scrappers. Defense needs to reload at LB but Hetlet knows how to put those guys in the right place to make plays. DBs will be solid and dline will be young but very strong.

HC will need to replace a heart and soul guy at QB, but would imagine they will have an athlete back there. Receivers look good and line is always huge. I personally loved the monster LB they had last year but he missed the last few games due to coach's decision and it showed in the OPRF shoot out.

OPRF is always a mystery. They seem to start out like a house on fire only get distracted (wrestling season) by week 7-9. The GW/OPRF game was a track meet last year as Diver ran for three bills averaging something like 20 yards a carry. Unless they find a new defensive scheme or edge setters, likely to be tough sledding for OPRF vs GW.

York/DGN/PW will all be playing for the possible 5th win.

Number to watch is 500. GW has scored 500 points only once in '15 when Sammy the Bull put up 47 TDs. Don't think you will see one guy score 47 TDs but the Hollensbe/Diver/Thomas/Pierce combo will put a ton of points on the board. Rising junior Ty Cox had a back breaker KO return-TD against Homer Flosswood in Round 2 last year where he showed huge breakaway speed. Might not be enough touches to go around, which means you might see one of these guys flip to defense. If not, 500 points is in sight.
