I was doing some research about which Illinois high school has produced the most major league players. Here is what I found:

Lane Tech 11 players who played in mlb, none since 1973
Joliet Catholic 8
Joliet Township 5
Belleville 4
New Trier 4
Glenbrook N 4
Maine South 4
Crane 4

May have missed a couple

Jason Kipnis is a 2 time all star
Scott Sanderson was an all star
Doug Rader was a 5 time gold glove winner
