Where is Seneca heading? Didn't know they were leaving.

Morris would be a decent fit in the I-8 geographically, but I think football-wise and enrollment-wise, most of the schools would be upset to be adding a 5A outlier. I just see them always being a step above Plano, Coal City, Wilmington, Herscher, etc.

My bigger question would be what happens with the NIB12 when a school leaves? Stay together as a smaller league of 8 or 9 or have the Geneseo and Sterling group find a conference closer to home? Yorkville and Kaneland seem ready to join a more suburban league, but they need a willing partner to dance with.

Seneca is heading to a conference west of them for non football sports, they will be 150 kids larger than anyone else. And then football is going to the conference with Dwight, Momence etc

Seneca is now officially leaving the I-8 after the 2017-2018 year

I think it's Seneca to the Tri-County Conference for all sports, except football which they will join the Sangamon Valley for.
