I'm surprised there hasn't been more talk about this 5A match up. Morris at home and playing some very good football right now. Undefeated Mahomet has one of the best QB's in the state and scores a ton of points. Morris lost to Richmond-Burton and Sycamore is definitely in the tougher conference. Should be a good one.

Morris was a popular team until two lopsided losses, albeit to very good teams. Their game yesterday could have easily been a running clock.

Watched a bit of Peoria yesterday and some of the things they do are just mind boggling. Really big and talented though. That RB is a workhorse.

Good question. I don’t know who is going to win Naz vs sycamore and I don’t know who will win Peoria vs Morris.

but I feel like the winner of Naz-sycamore is a 14 -20 point favorite in the championship game.

Agree. If Morris can somehow get past Peoria, not sure how they move the ball on Sycamore or keep up with Naz's speed.

A track meet between Naz and Peoria may be the most entertaining 5A title game.

Homer pick, I'd love to see a Morris/Sycamore rematch. A conference game for the title when there were those that said Sycamore played in a weak conference would be fun.

Can't believe that Sycamore and Morris are still playing next weekend with that weak conference they are in......been hearing this for what...about 40 years now....this will be the 15th semifinal appearance for Morris and they have won 11 so far and are looking for a 12th.
I'd love too see a Morris/Sycamore rematch in Champaign. Maybe some some miracle the 2 teams can pull it off.

My son had the opportunity to visit Minnesota recently. Coach Fleck immediately mentioned the Little Seven to him.

How are you preemptively making this into a public-private issue?

sycamore and Naz should play a competitive game that is likely anyones to win. Whoever wins that, whether public Sycamore or private Nazareth, should be favored fairly heavily over the Morris-Peoria winner.
