Batavia is a solid program and I will look forward to the visit next year. Let’s make sure we both are defending state champs. Close the deal!

Regular season, Batavia started 1-2. They beat ONE team with a winning record.
Playoffs, they beat Guilford (7-2), Hersey (10-0), Yorkville (10-1), LZ (11-1)
Yeah, I would say they got hot at the right time. I will be pulling for the Dawgs next Saturday in Champaign!

Congratulations to Batavia! This is another good program! Who said Illinois doesn’t have good HS football? These playoffs have been great to watch.
I live in Nevada…. It made me appreciate Illinois HS Football even more. It’s one of the best states for HS Football.
Btw… give the IHSA some credit. I don’t remember a better, more respectful and cheating free season ever.

I wouldn’t say they got hot. Their regular season losses were to fantastic teams. They probably should have lost to Hersey and easily could have loss to Yorkville.

Batavia has played the same level of football the whole season IMO.
Not sure how “They could have easily lost playoff games” means they got hot in the playoffs.
