Thankfully for the coaches it sounds like the administration is backing them in their findings. I remember a situation a few years back involving Wilmington baseball where some kids shaved another kids head after a game. The coach was cleaning up and packing his things. The coach was fired. The kicker was, and I was told this by several athletes on the team, the kid wanted a haircut. The kids parents however did not want him to shave his head and complained to the school. Crazy how politics comes into play when it comes to education and parents who think they have a right to complain over every little thing.
