JCA defeated NND this afternoon to win the Escc. Hillmen have now won the ESCC Baseball championship on all three levels for three consecutive years. Hopefully, this year they can carry the momentum into the postseason and make a nice run.

Amen to that.

Found it interesting how they set up the ESCC this year. They only played 13 conference games. The North vs. the South only played each other once. Wonder if they thought the double-header set up of prior years put too much of a strain on pitching staffs.

Or maybe they felt there were to many conference games, which limited the number of non conference games teams could schedule?

I would assume there was an adjustment made to rain, or was this how it was scheduled originally?

St. Rita won the C.C.L. They were not predicted to compete for the title this year in the Blue Division. They did well against traditional rivals. But in the playoffs everyone starts 0-0. Great season so far.

Could be. Also, saw JCA got the nod to be in the "playoff" game against NND, when both the Hilltoppers and Marist had 10-3 conference records. Wonder what criteria was used to place JCA in that game. Could have been run differential or something of that sort.

Saint Francis won the Metro Suburban, they are back to 3A this year for playoffs. Maybe they were last year as well I cannot remember.
