Let’s through some suggestions in this thread

Loyola Ramblers Defense coordinator
- Shut down the states 2 best QB’s and held both of them to season low’s in terms of numbers.

Jonas Williams and Jack Elliot both struggled against them

CJ Cesario # 1 but I'd give credit to Mike Passarella from DePaul at # 2. Who gave DePaul a snowflakes chance in hell to win State before the season?
# 3 Darren Sunkett. Credit given to dominating everyone including Loyola and taking IMG to OT.

If your considering a D-Coordinator for Coach of the Year then you can't have defensive performances like they did vs ESL and St Francis. Beating Jack Elliott who couldn't run wasn't getting him at his best. They had a great second half vs Williams but he still had 280 yards and 3 TD passes. That isn't exactly shutting him down.

Had the defense not jumped off sides I think he would have brought them down the field and scored. If not a TD a field goal. Just my take but Williams was able to make plays and with the game on the line I believe they still had a chance. Great game and LA deserved to win and was the better team in the 2nd half. This is what a championship games should look like not the blowouts.
East has another shot next year. Oregon is going to get a good player!

Impossible to pick a winner between Cesario, Passarella, Sunkett.

(Loyola's offense beat Jonas Williams. Kept him almost totally off the field in 2nd half. LA D handled MC's hurting QB a hell of a lot better than MC D handled LA's hurting QB.)

Can't argue that fact but their DC shouldn't be considered Coach of the year.

Honorable Mention has to go to Joliet Central's Tom Hart. He led the Steelmen to their first win in what seemed like decades(was actually first win since 2019). Winning a single game at JT Central was a big deal! As someone who always roots for the hometown teams, it was great to see!

They got to play in 4a with a non multiplied 1233 kids based off last years enrollment and over 1300 currently. Not their fault they were able to take advantage of a loop hole in rules. But not coach of the year.
Wasn't CC non multiplied as well?

Except for 1976,1986 & 1989 they’ve been horrible for the most part

Argo is a football wasteland but that coach has taken them to the playoffs 3 years in a row. With that said however they have been running clocked all 3 years on a row. Last year they finished the game with negative yardage & this year only 50 on the game. Plus they finished 5-5. This year should have been 8-1. So not sure how much enthusiasm I’d give. You gotta make strides not spin your wheels
