Marist and Simeon at Marist would have been worth a look.
Love the Prep Bowl but It’s almost always the best CPS team vs the Mid of the Road Catholic Champions.And the Catholics almost always win in a blowout.Notre Dame I think was the 17th best team in the Catholic League last year maybe 18th or 19th & they destroyed Kenwood who was the best City team

Agreed on this but Simeon has some serious D1 talent with Elzy and Crews. They had a bad game vs Crete at the wrong time of year. Marist and Simeon would have a been a real good game, I’m surprised Marist didn’t get in it, especially knowing Simeon was.
The Catholic League rarely lets teams in who are eliminated from the playoffs.I think if you’re out in the 1st or 2nd & depending on how many teams are left
They should have been in then.Maybe they declined.I know DePaul said they weren’t playing in it not sure why
Prep bowl weeks would have been perfect for the DePaul program.
Marist vs Simeon would have been outstanding football. I don’t know how many of Marist’s football studs are wrestlers though. That might have factored into the equation also since @McCaravan mentioned in another thread that Marist wrestling is legit

I can see that. But it looks like the Friars have improved over the year. May not be enough to stop the Wolverine though.
