Best looking helmet in Illinois?

But I'm offended, my great-great-great grandfather may have been a Pirate. (j/k)

I kinda really like it for the Brook even though it's too loud for my tastes.

I'm still partial to the one on the left.

Wonder if there will be a 2nd helmet with a more classic look, like usual. I do like.

Relative to helmet decals, I read an interesting and well-defined incentive to qualify a varsity player to get issued such. Other variations of this surely exist:
  • finish a winter sport or reach 90% attendance in off-season FB training, get the left-side decal
  • do the same during spring season, get the right side decal
  • hit the 90% mark during summer activities, get an accent stripe.

Who pays for all of that?
Not property taxes:D.

InB4: Many public programs have their own fundraisers to sponsor trips, uniforms, pads etc. Not letting this thread go down that path.

I have looked at the ‘Brook’s helmet for a couple of days and I have reached my final verdict:

I like them. Continue with your weekend.

I wish I had the money to say I did. The player's family pays a fee like every kid in a private school. I know of one alumni who helped play for the second set of helmets. Your talking about hall of fame kind of guys. If all the teams in the school use the same uniform company they get a good deal. With that many uniform options I hope their getting a great deal. My sophomore year on the varsity my mom did a lot of sewing. Different era.

I'm a traditional guy. Home I liked their White Helmet w/ red SR, Red jersey and white pants....Away I like the white out combo. For years I didn't even know Blue was part of Rita's colors, I thought it was red and white. The rest is too much, they're like Oregon. Stick with what worked! I miss MC's yellow pants....but I guess someone thought we were brown and white so that's what it should be.

Late 60's we had navy blue pants with two white strips down the outside of each leg. Home jerseys were white with blue numbers road jerseys were blue with white numbers. White helmets with two blue stripes. Simple and basic.

The more I look at them the more I like them. The other helmet I'm told will be classic. Consider me sold.

Now we just gotta get the play to match the look. The football itch is almost back.

How many times are these guys going to change helmet colors? Geez!

Yeah
Not sure why the need to keep changing. I like LWE
Pretty traditional but that’s the way I like it. Same with the MC helmets. Plain but I like them and I am not even an MC fan. Lol

I agree Corey. The only way to have a helmet or any uniform become a classic is to wear it a number of years. Guess some of these people have a short attention span.

Can you imagine if Penn State came out with a big Lion on their helmet, or Michigan a Wolverine? Don’t mess with classics I agree!

The only two NFL uniforms that improved by changing their uniforms were the Pats and Bucs. That cartoon looking Patriot had to go and that porn star looking pirate on those orange and white Bucs uniforms were horrible. Glad the Rams went back to their traditional home uniforms. Jags helmet is now the worst

Disagree on both. In my opinion, both the Pats and the Bucs old uniforms and helmets were better

You like the flying Elvis head look the Pats have now?!

Back in Reavis heyday they had navy blue helmets with white notched horns like a real ram!!! They were great.I also liked SFDS Pittsburg Steeler logo of the mid 80’s.

Does this debate include helmets with stickers?
The "At-a-Boy" stickers for doing something good? I have never understood those. Why would you put targets on your players making it obvious which were high level targets?
