I think Williamsville and tri Valley got sick of hearing how they aren’t gonna be competitive this week. Either that or maybe they’re pretty good - just what I heard
With the way Williamsville is going 4-5 yards a play a 3 and out would be catastrophic.

Well this game has turned pretty ugly. IC speed just too much for Williamsville. Maybe IC can stick around and play the winner of the next game.
Not too many (any) 3A teams that can scheme to stop #7 and the pass game at the same time.
A team that recruits Chicagoland area is dominating a public school from the middle of nowhere ? Shocker
That same school that recruits needed OT to get past a public school from the county seat of Bureau County in the quarters two weeks ago. That same school that recruits lost in the semis to public school Byron last year. Three playoffs ago, they lost to public school R-B in the quarters.

FWIW even though they “stumbled” @ Byron, Braidwood woulda matched up pretty ok against IC and I think might have given them a good challenge.
IC will very likely cruise to a multiplied 3A title next year. (woulda been 2A this year had they not petitioned up)
After that I assume they will be subjected to SF and play in 4A where they will compete well, but there will be more than 1 or 2 teams that can possibly knock them off.
How am I whining ? I went / played / won state titles at a private school. All of us couldn’t stand that we didn’t play up after our 1st title.

I know I’m not the one who accused you of whining, and there are certainly times I agree with your sentiments about private schools and their ceilings. With that said, this year IC didn’t quite lap the field, so I’d say they are in an appropriate class - the one they already petitioned up to. I’m a public school fan.
JCA. I found it pathetic that JCA posted 4a last year. Didn’t they win title game by 30+?
Not quite, 29, but they won easily. Closest playoff game was Richmond-Burton.
The classes are all a little bit screwed up with so many Catholic schools not having the multiplier because of the Covid year.
I think the multiplier rule is pretty good, but the smaller rural schools generally have a harder time with teams like IC (or AC/Driscoll back in the day)
