So in last 10 years it’s been either PR or CG in the finals how many times? Crazy.
Can’t believe where both teams’ 4th quarter possessions were starting after post-TD kickoffs. Wild 4th quarter.
This game had a CG vs. PR feel. I seemed as if each defense knew what play the offense would run. St Ignatius did a good job of slowing Vasey.
ESL will be facing the triple option for their 3rd straight championship. It will be interesting to see how they do with the option this year.

Looks like neither were in 2015 and 2014 CG was 7A. The rest was one or the other in 6A. Still a big accomplishment for the FVC.
If they vote to split then the privates need to separate from the IHSA.No more playing any public schools in any sport.Then when your public school wins state in football you can stick out your chest & proclaim oh we could have beat that private school champion.Uh huh.Sadly though if this happened no more Prep Bowl
Ignatius losing their kicker really hurt. Rarely had a kickoff returned.
The PI at the end was the game. Great game on a day of great games. Illinois HS football won today.
so when you throw out the privates are you going to throw our CG and PR too? MS LWE ESL? Because 98% of the publics are not going to beat then either.
I loath these Private /Public debates. Can someone provide me with a reason how any of the classes tournaments become better by eliminating the private schools? That, I’m willing to listen to. The usual recruiting vs. what the bus drops off is old and lame.
I just want schools to always play with the multiplier. Broken logic that it gets waived.
