    Phillips @ MC

Pretty decent showing by the Wildcats. 2 offensive scores allowed vs MC at home is very respectable

There seems to be a ton of emotions tied to this matchup

    Phillips @ MC

I think Phillips is definitely outmatched against MC unfortunately. I would love to see them pull off the upset but Normal did a number on some of their starters with quite a few going down with leg injuries. Going up against a top 3 in the state team is tough enough as is, not being at full...

    Feeto's Friday Upset Special...

I agree, Simeon is big enough up front to stifle Prairie Ridge in a low scoring slugfest.

    PR vs Simeon

Simeon is huge up front, QB is a solid runner but an average passer. Last year their QB was probably one of the most dynamic athletes in the state. This year the defense is extremely aggressive and physical. Prairie Ridge will have their hands full for sure and I’m early for Feeto but they are...

    Best Week 2 Matchups

No worries, it’s always something that is brought up whenever a team has to play on grass instead of turf. The same things were said about Stagg, Eckersall, Winnemac, and Rockne stadiums here in Chicago for years.

    Best Week 2 Matchups

Actually unsafe field conditions has caused a change in venue in the past. Or was that an episode of King of the Hill... I’m not sure lol

Simeon at Prairie Ridge... I’m sure the grounds crew is making sure the field is properly hydrated as we speak.

    IHSA Proposals Are Out

If Simeon/Phillips are non boundaried, aren’t all CPS schools non boundaried? What am I thinking, the other CPS schools are considered pushovers so no one has a problem with them being in the boundaried pool with everyone else.

    Little help

Unfortunately there are still more than a few CPS teams that don’t have Hudl and the high turnover in coaches make contact very difficult sometimes.

Ihsa waives game requirements for CPS

That’s correct, however Simeon currently has a record of 6-1. They have enough wins to qualify but the will probably be seeded ahead of the 6-3 teams but behind the 7-2 teams. ESTL never had enough wins to qualify.

Ihsa waives game requirements for CPS

In 2015 East St Louis played 5 games (3-2) record and then went on strike. The strike cost them their next 4 games resulting in 4 losses by forfeit (3-6) This is according to max preps.

What happens if #257 is a CPS school?

IHSA approves all but two of the rescheduled CPS football games

The strike may also cost Simeon a playoff spot. They currently sit at 5-1 with a sure win coming up putting them at 6-1. However if the strike lasts beyond Wednesday of next week the CPS schools will not be able to play week 9. This would leave Simeon with only 7 games played with 8 being the...

    CPS Strike?

Just looked it up. 14+ day strike requires 5 practices over 5 days before being allowed to compete. 3 practices over 3 days for less than 14. IHSA will put any teams that qualify into their respective brackets and if the strike is still ongoing, those teams will forfeit any scheduled games...

    CPS Strike?

New IHSA rules won’t allow for doubleheader games. Saturday and Sunday is a nonstarter. And unless I’m wrong once the strike is over, Teams are required to have 3 practices before playing a game

What did we learn week 5!?!?!

Not sure, but they lost to Bogan week 4 by the score of 6-0. I’m sure it’s more than likely that they lost the war of attrition. Football is dying a slow painful death in CPS with only around a dozen teams at most fielding teams with 20+ players including freshmen and sophomores. Most belong in...

What did we learn week 5!?!?!

O'Brien actually did an article on Harper a couple days ago. This is their last season unfortunately as the school only has 49 kids left and will be closing. They actually have to coop this year just to get 16 players.

    Interesting games on the schedule:

Simeon vs nationally ranked (5) St Frances Academy of Baltimore, MD. Private school that was booted from their conference after blowing everyone out. HC has put a TON of money into the program...
