How often did transfers used to happen?

Judge ruled a temporary restraining order and IHSA went home with its tail between its legs unfortunately. Like I said, all you need is a lawyer and you wil be eligible.

How often did transfers used to happen?

I don’t know if you follow wrestling edgy, but nowadays you can go wherever you want, be ruled ineligible, then hire a lawyer, and you will be eligible immediately. There are no more rules that the IHSA can enforce. What’s the point of having transfer rules when you can move in with a coaches...

Also remember Todd Townsend in the 90s. 4 schools in 4 years. I remember he ended up at new Trier his senior year somehow.

What sport has the worst parents?

I don’t know about all this. I think wrestling parents are insane. It’s not uncommon to see six-year-old coming off the mat crying with his dad screaming at him and then turning around and screaming at his wife to shut up. I would say it’s multiple times per tournament that I see something like that.

Was there one game that put your school on the map?

IC has a few. Beating Montini in 2002. No one knew if they were for real until they beat them on their way to a state title. Beating Marmion in 2008 40-38 to clinch a spot in the playoffs on their way to their 2nd state title. I’m sure there are more recent ones but I haven’t been...

Was there one game that put your school on the map?

Early days of streaming. I watched this and couldn’t understand why MoPo kept going deep. They must’ve thrown 25 vertical routes from Demetrius jones to any receiver. Ugly ugly game that I thought MoPo would easily win.

Waubonsie is a school where you can point to the numbers and demographic changes that have impacted the football program. 2005 they were around 3500 kids. Today 2500. Do a quick look at the demographics you will see why they aren't as good anymore.

    CCL/ESCC Program Health

They are up against some pretty good public school programs in the area for football. Hersey, Prospect, Palatine have been pretty good. Parents keeping their kids home for football. However I'm hearing more and more kids are going there for lacrosse which has some pretty good football kids...

    Favorite Level of Football?

Not a gambler. But basically every game goes like this: Someone takes a lead early. They hold on and maybe by the end of the third they are up by 10. They get conservative in the 4th then punt the ball. The other team drives down and scores to go down by 3 with about 8 minutes left. Other...

Sandburg IHSA investigation - asst coach whistleblower on recruiting

To be clear. I'm in the middle on this. I truly appreciate the catholic league and the traditions of each school. I understand why families send their kids to those schools. I'm just not sure what the best way to approach this situation. I do think there are issues with the playing field...

Nothing beats a full day of college football in the fall. NFL is just so predictable. I don’t really watch much other than the bears.

IC, Montini until recently. That's 8 publics and 7 privates. Almost the same. Big difference in comparison to the total numbers is all I'm saying.

Sandburg IHSA investigation - asst coach whistleblower on recruiting

I don't disagree with you on this, I went to a private school. My only question is how many public schools have been able to do that and sustain it over the last 20 years? Other than the traditional powers... I would say an elite program is almost a yearly semifinalist. That's just my...
