So how are things going for the border states?

All of the dominoes have not fallen in college football. Unless I'm missing some current news, SEC, Big 12 and ACC are still playing football.

Looks like FCS NCAA football will move to the spring

We shall see if the travel affects it. I don't see it changing much. They seem to have a pretty good handle on it. Notre Dame brought back their entire student body over last two weeks. Tested the entire student body via a swab test prior to their return and less than a half a percent of the...

Looks like FCS NCAA football will move to the spring

Looks like the ACC, Big 12 and SEC are gonna play some football. Add ND and some other independents in there as well. ND has been working out for some time - testing the players weekly. Only two positive tests (complete recoveries) over that time span. I hope they play and I hope they show...

    Boom football

I think they are looking at practicing a couple times per week with one geared individual and one geared team and then hopefully it will open up a bit and allow some type of competition later in year. More interested if anyone has had a son participate with Boom in past and what their thoughts are.

    Boom football

I see that Boom is doing a showcase and tryouts for fall league. Can anyone provide any insight on playing 7 v 7 with Boom? Son is a rising junior FB/ILB so I always thought it may be better time spent concentrating on weight room and speed training. From anyone with any experience in this...

    Where does IHSA take this

I am sure we will hear soon, but I would like to see them kick the can down the road two months. Let's see what happens in next 6 weeks with other states going full bore. I would rather play a shortened season in Oct/Nov then March/April. The other states may prove JB is just a control freak...

    Recruiting

Thanks for all of the responses. He has spoken to his coach but as a Soph, its been fairly cursory at this point. Coach tells him he needs to grow. If he was 6-2 instead of 5-11... He was a varsity starter for a mid level program in one of top conferences in the state. He has grades (near...

    Recruiting

I am a total newby when it comes to football recruiting. My son is a current soph and would love to play football in college at any level. It's hard to decipher what is real and what is just a money grab. Son does not have physical measurables that jump off paper like most sophs who are...

    Need advice for filming games

Was the EZ camera actually remote controlled i.e. could be moved in/out and left/right by an operator in press box? Or, is EZ camera just fixed on the shot from the EZ and it is started and stopped by the person in the press box. In other words, does anyone know if you can get a decent film by...

    Need advice for filming games

Its the standard hudl sideline package with communication only from press box camera to ipad on sideline. Our endzone camera setup is just a digital camera operated manually from the endzone by an operator with the camera mounted on a 25' pole you can raise and lower. We essentially just have...

    Need advice for filming games

Hoping there's a chance that some video volunteers, coaches, etc may see this. Working on a project to get the most out of the game filming process. Currently use a system with a sideline camera connected to a hudl sideline. Also have a 10+ yr old endzone cam system that is not linked to hudl...
