How often did transfers used to happen?

I think transfers always happened, they just weren't reported. We now have social media where every move anyone makes is recorded and debated. All aspects of our lives are scrutinized so data trolls can sell the most valuable commodity in the world: Your Information. It used to be when a...

Legislations to outlaw tackle football before 14

So it is true. And you've eliminated probably close to 90%of youth coaches/parents

Legislations to outlaw tackle football before 14

People who make decisions in youth football will always say its about player development. But, when the other team shows up, its all about winning.

Legislations to outlaw tackle football before 14

This is one of the best decisions that anyone involved in football can make. Youth football is such a disgrace (in the area I live and work, and all the competitors we've seen). Youth football probably drives more kids away from the sport than any benefit it brings. I'm all for letting high...

    1-32 Maybe?

By the time you get to the semis, I don't think you'll have too many "incorrectly seeded teams". I haven't recalled too many times when, for example, a CPS team is undefeated and makes it to the semis without being legit.

    District Proposal Fails

Girls Flag Football passed. Will this board allow topics on this?

    Bears

Yeah, maybe just hoping that the WR and OL fix will require less of that position.

    Bears

IMO, the Bears are 1 WR, 2 OL, and 1 DL/LB away from being one of the best in the NFC. This draft will determine if we get to see some postseason action for the next 5 years, or if we will continue the QB/Head Coach/GM revolving door.

    Bears

Mooney has to go. His routes are atrocious. Every ball that is thrown to him, he drifts away from the throw and allows it to be broken up or intercepted. That's practice squad stuff.

IHSA - District Proposal - Official Language

Would be interesting, but we will never find out. The private schools will not leave the IHSA. No matter what decisions are made. Just as the ADs and other Admins don't want to deal with conference shuffling and 5-win schedules, the private schools don't want the responsibility to run an...

    CCL/ESCC Program Health

Nothing...And that was the problem. No structure to the program. No development. No recruiting. Seemed like he didn't want to be there, just wanted to collect a paycheck and hide in the background. Pathetic!

IHSA - District Proposal - Official Language

If you are not the one who has to solve the problem, don't say its not a problem. The one's who have to deal with all of the issues (conf. shuffling, non-cons, 5-wins, parents, facilities, etc.). So, just sit and wait while the adults handle this.

Nice guy, terrible coach. What he did to Oak Lawn is inexcusable.

    Is A Change Coming?..Attn: 4A North

Remember, funding is per pupil, not overall %. Illinois is probably in the top half of states that fund/pupil. Mostly, you will see the higher the $/pupil, the better the test scores are.

    Parent / Coach Boundaries

Sign of the times: After a football game, us coaches were leaving the field with our families, and our HC was holding his baby daughter in his arms. A parent came up to him and started yelling profanities because her son didn't get to play (Week 9, 4-4, need to win, playing a rival, senior...
