Why isnt there much chatter on this game. On paper it’s the best game of the weekend! Really surplus to hear expert insights on this game.

Galena missed the playoffs by one game.
Le-Win, Fulton, Forreston and Dakota are all going to the Quarters.
Du-Pec almost made it five to the Quarters giving RC all it could handle.

Evenly matched game that really picked up in the second half. Fenwick just missed the FG kick to send the game into OT.

I felt going in this could be the one game that could be a blowout we’ll see

most intriguing matchup to me is the Williamsville passing game against the ICCP secondary…..lots of talent in that ICCP secondary

Illinois state outline at mid field look tacky or just me

I’m confused as to what happened towards the end.
2:47 on the clock, DST 4th and 1. DST seemingly called a TO and went to sideline huddle. Clock continues to run. TV coach starts questioning/complaining at about 2:20…clock then stops. No TO called.
End result clock resumes, DST lines up for the play and TV eventually calls a TO with under 2:00. Play clock shoulda clearly expired I woulda thought…. A DST penalty forces a punt situation, but it seems like a decent amount of time was lost there. TV got ball and drives down but incomplete pass in end zone as time expired.
Overall was a great game with DST winning 29-22. TV too many missed opportunities early and ran out of time at the end.

What is the IHSA rule for defensive pass interference?
This year I’ve seen it marked off as 10 yards from the LOS, 15 yards from LOS and a spot foul.

I thought it was a 10 yard penalty in the IHSA.

I think this is one of the greatest traditions at 6410. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

As is tradition on Championship Weekend, there is no such thing as an upset. Any team that's good enough to make it to this weekend is loaded with champions, and should be incredibly proud of themselves. Thanks as always to this group of high school football fans. We are a strange group, led by Edgy (a strange leader) but we love this sport, and how pure it remains at this level. Have a great Thanksgiving Day

I have seen stories where families have had turkey bowls since the 80’s or 90’s. My wife’s family started theirs in 1961 in Glencoe and we continue it in Grayslake uninterrupted to this day. My wife came from eight kids and I came from six so a good stock of players and their kids. Made a video if interested. Quags - perhaps worthy of a mention in the Daily Herald or the like?
